In a tour of your house, you would start with your front porch or garden, how you’ve grown and nurtured all of your herbs and fruits, keeping your diet of fresh veggies strictly. Then, you move inside and show them your living room, where you’ve just acquired the newest flat screen television capable of connecting to the internet. Maybe you’ve set up a small library-slash-office in your living space. It’s great. But your pride and glory should be just beyond the hallway, the place where simply magic happens – the kitchen. The kitchen is a place of entertainment. If you’ve watched too many cliché romantic movies, in here you’ll see the slow motion throwing of powdered sugar or flour. Aside from those, this is where your mother would cook the chicken soup you always crave for during your flu season, and where your grandmother would bake her famous red velvet cupcakes.

The use of the kitchen doesn’t always just focus to cooking. This is also where you can receive your guests and bring the family together.

In an office, you have your cubicles, computer units, printers, fax machines, photocopiers, etc. In your living room, you have your digital surround sound stereo, your blu-ray DVD player, and your game consoles. As with any part of any structure, the kitchen isn’t all just countertop, tiles, and cupboards. Of course, you have your plates – somewhere to put your oh-so delicious midnight sandwich. If ever you get thirsty, there’s your trusty refrigerator, complete with an ice dispenser if you want to cool up your apple juice.

Say, you’ve got an important meeting with your boss who could potentially give you a raise. To really wow him with your skills, you invite him over. And what better way to impress your way to success than a scrumptious meal of mashed potatoes, clam chowder, with apple pie as dessert. See what the kitchen can do? There isn’t any room in your house that could impress any of your neighbors or friends better than having a well-built kitchen. Because the way to anyone’s heart is through their stomach, the kitchen is the premier place to astound them with your cooking master skills. The kitchen is where a lot of things can happen. Yes, "a lot" covers many areas.

In that area of your house, you can whip up a batch of "I’m sorry" cupcakes. During parties, if you won’t be able to socialize well, a trip to the kitchen is helpful. No one would ask you twice what you’re asking there and you won’t look so awkward. You can even look like that brooding guy who’s taking a sip of the cool stuff – that might make you lucky. So, all in all, putting them all together, the kitchen is where the magic happens.
